Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe adapted from All Recipes dot com
  • Ingredients:

    • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
    • 3/4 cups of dark brown sugar
    • 3/4 cups of granulated sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1 stick of softened butter
    • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
    • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
    • Your favorite chocolate chips
    • Directions:
    1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
    2. 2. Stir the two sugars together and then add the flour. Mix them together well.
    3. 3. Add the baking soda and salt: mix all of the dry ingredients together.
    4. 4. Add the egg and softened butter. Beat the ingredients in.
    5. 5. Once the ingredients are beaten in, pour on the vanilla and stir it in evenly.
    6. 6. Now it's time for the chocolate! Add as much or as little of the amount of the chocolate chips you desire.
    7. (We like chocolate so I used about 2 cups full of chips)
    8. 7. Using your hands, work the chocolate chips into the batter.
    9. 8. When your oven is ready, roll 1-2 inch balls in the palm of your hand and keep them 2-3 inches apart.
    10. 9. Bake for 10-12 minutes (or until the center is baked and the edges are just lightly browned).

I also experimented with a Wilton mini-muffin tray!
