Recipe adapted from All Recipes dot com
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cups of dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cups of granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 stick of softened butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- Your favorite chocolate chips
- Directions:
-
- 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- 2. Stir the two sugars together and then add the flour. Mix them together well.
- 3. Add the baking soda and salt: mix all of the dry ingredients together.
- 4. Add the egg and softened butter. Beat the ingredients in.
- 5. Once the ingredients are beaten in, pour on the vanilla and stir it in evenly.
- 6. Now it's time for the chocolate! Add as much or as little of the amount of the chocolate chips you desire.
- (We like chocolate so I used about 2 cups full of chips)
- 7. Using your hands, work the chocolate chips into the batter.
- 8. When your oven is ready, roll 1-2 inch balls in the palm of your hand and keep them 2-3 inches apart.
- 9. Bake for 10-12 minutes (or until the center is baked and the edges are just lightly browned).
I also experimented with a Wilton mini-muffin tray!
