What I did to achieve this DIY project was I grabbed some Chevron fabric at Michael's and some Mod Podge!
I have a confession to make:
This was my first time ever using Mod Podge. EVER!
I know, right?! Does that make me a crafty fraud?? Haha anyway, I love it! I now understand everyone's obsession with it on Blogger and Pinterest! Being a huge fan of chevron & stags, I wanted to find an affordable way to combine the two! This took about 30 mins to do from start to finish, and I paid about $15 for all of the materials.
I cut out a piece of fabric that was more than generous size-wise, and then glued the entirety of the fabric sheet to the front side of the wooden stag. Using normal scissors, I cut off the excess fabric and followed the shape of the head and antlers. While cutting certain sections, I started painting a little mod Podge in one area and then folded over the fabric toward the back so that it covered the front and side of the stag in every area.
I realize it's not perfect, but I like DIY projects to actually LOOK homemade!
What do you think? Would you make one?!
How cute! I love this. The black and white Chevron gives it such a sharp look. Thanks for sharing!
