Our Mini Family: Sweethearts-Inspired, Sugar Cookie Dippers

Sweethearts-Inspired, Sugar Cookie Dippers

Let me just start by saying this:
I am *horrible* with sugar cookies!
They are either too brown and ugly, or they are so mushy they can't hold their shape. I mean, they taste great but they don't photograph as well as I'd like haha SO with that said, I do not have a fabulous recipe to accompany these photos with! Sorry! But I will tell you that I used a basic, sugar cookie recipe starter and added lots of pink sprinkles to get the pink & red tones.

With that said, I hope you can draw some Valentine's inspiration from this, and if you can make sugar cookies better than I can please show me your magical ways! If you have a recipe you can personally recommend, please leave me one in the comments--no joke, this is a cry for help! haha

You know these things?

I saw an end-cap of them at Target and said
"holy moley, it's almost Valentine's Day!"
I rushed home and made up a batch of cookies because I realized one of my favorite holidays is coming up, and kindly reminded my husband there are 35 days left for him to prepare for it! ;)

Also, can we talk about how I am a hot mess with gel?

I was so worried it would look awful,
so I kept practicing on paper towels in the kitchen! Welp!

Do you and your loved one do anything special for Valentine's Day?

  2. What a cute idea! I always bake lightly so they don't get too brown and are a bit moist. Happy Blue Friday!

    1. You're so sweet--thanks so much for the pin! I should give up sweets, but I can't bring myself too! I try to stray from having them all of the time, but around Valentine's Day I find I have an addiction to sugar (and then it starts to go away) haha

      Have a great week, Betty!
