Jalapeño Bacon and Queso Steak Fries

I have a confession to make: these are my absolute favorite guilty pleasure! Adam has been making them for us off and on for a few weeks, and I'm excited to finally share his creation with all of you!

Oh my, oh my! Adam's jalapeño bacon and queso steak fries are YUMMY!

  • Ingredients

    • 5 rusett potatoes
    • 1/2 tablspoon salt
    • 1/2 tablspoon pepper
    • 1/4 cup of olive oil
    • A sprinkling of garlic powder
    • A handful of bacon bits
    • 1 cup of queso
    • 1 cup of jalapeños
  • Instructions

    1. 1. Preheat the oven to 425.
    2. 2. Cut potatoes length wise, so that they are thin and long.
    3. 3. Fillet the pieces cut into wedges.
    4. 4. Take your wedges and soak them in ice water for 35 mins.
    5. 5. Take them out and lay them with skin side down on a baking sheet.
    6. 6. Layer them in a thin coat of olive oil.
    7. 7. Cover them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
    8. 8. Bake for 30 mins.
    9. 9. Take them out of the oven and cover in queso & bacon & jalapeños as you desire.
    10. 10. Put them back in the oven for 5 mins to remove when you have your desired heat.
