Yes, you read that right! We made dark chocolate tarts with bacon!
I know you are probably thinking, "Cathy, what is wrong with you?" Well, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure! But the other day, I really had a hankering for something sweet but regular chocolate just didn't sound good. I needed something salty and sweet (ladies, you know exactly what I mean!)
So I made my chocolate tarts per usual and then thought "what the heck!" I fried up bacon in the griddle and went to town! Adam wasn't a huge fan of them--he admitted he couldn't get past how weird it was to really enjoy them; he compared it the first time he tried tri-color macaroni and was convinced each color had a different flavor, and that in this moment his brain was telling his taste buds something totally different!

What is especially awesome about these tarts is that it allows for the perfect chocolate: bacon ratio!
(i.e. mostly chocolate, with just a hint of bacon)
