Alright ladies, let's get real. Some plus-size clothing just isn't flattering am I right? Sometimes kimonos aren't the cutest thing a busty gal with a bigger waist can wear, and there is a fine line between plus size and moo moo. So today, I am going to talk about some stylish ways to wear a kimono!
Kimonos are fun and flowy, and can be a really fun addition to your closet that can help diversify your wardrobe and your outfits for all seasons. Check out some of these kimonos I'm currently crushing on, as well as other plus size kimono looks that are all available on Amazon:
Assa, from My Curves and Curls, rocked her patterned kimono with a crop top and summery bottoms. This is a great look for late spring/early summer, and has classic colors so it won't ever go out of style!
Bring your white t-shirt and blue jeans to the next level with a colorful kimono like Shainna of A Thick Girl's Closet did. I love the neon color! Day-glo is in, y'all! And I think it's here to stay ;-)
All of those styles are awesome. I think kimonos are really stylish.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Me too! :-)
DeleteI want one of those! I think they would be perfect for Florida weather and I like that floral one.
ReplyDeleteYeah they would be really cute for Florida wear!
DeleteThose look great! My favorite is the bright orange-y one.
ReplyDeleteI love bright colors as well!
DeleteThose look really nice and would make the perfect gift. I'll have to store this one away for birthday ideas.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
DeleteAll of those kimonos are adorable! And paired so well! I love the prints.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteI think they all look great. I want one. They looked great with those jeans!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree--looks fabulous with the right pair of jeans for sure!
DeleteThis is a wonderful collection of kimono looks. Always my favorite is Kirstin Marie. She has this killer sense with colors and shoes that I just adore.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteOh I like this, they look so versatile. I like how it conceals while being fashionable.
ReplyDeleteI don't necessarily think it conceals so much as it enhances ;-)
DeleteWow, y'all are totally rockin' the look. I love them all and love how you put them together. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteAwww of course! My pleasure!
DeleteI love this! I moved to the north from Alabama many years ago, and the one thing that blew my mind was the difference in thinking about plus sized women. I heard some really horrible things said, and I couldn't believe it. We don't even see that stuff down there. Plus sized women can rock the looks just like smaller women. Sometimes they do it better!
ReplyDeleteIt is a shame that people cannot manage to be nice. Some people are shaped differently, and it saddens me that not everyone can recognize that and be mindful of others' feelings. Totally agree, Ben!
DeleteThat looks so cute on you! I tend to shy away from things like this but I really need to try one. It is really so cute!
ReplyDeleteYou should totally give a kimono a try!
DeleteEvery one of the looks works perfectly. Who knew kimonos were so versatile?
ReplyDeleteRight?!
DeleteReally cool looks! You all made kimonons kinda hip and cool right there!
ReplyDeleteMost definitely!
DeleteI love your style. Your clothes look like they fit you very well. I absolutely love your leopard shoes!
ReplyDeleteI love the leopard shoes as well, but they aren't actually mine! They belong to Shainna of A Thick Girl's Closet :D
DeleteThese are adorable and since I dont like to wear scarves so much, I feel like these are a cool accessory!
ReplyDeleteI hear you! Scarves can be hard to style every season too---much easier to rock a kimono in the summer than a scarf. Hehe
DeleteLove it/ So versatile.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI think these are so cute with so many different outfits. I want one!
ReplyDeleteYou should enter the giveaway, Stefani!

ReplyDeleteAwesome Debbie! You should enter the giveaway!
DeleteI had no idea there were so many ways to style and wear a kimono! I like the pairing with the jeans and heels the best (closest to my own style).
ReplyDeleteSame here!
DeleteSuch beautiful ladies in this post!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww you're so sweet, Christy! Thank you!
DeleteWhere can the bright orangy one be bought.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure! I went to look at that blogger's page where she originally shared her kimono and she deleted it. My apologies!
