I am so excited for all of the ladies in my life who are having their first baby!
It's such an exciting time around here and lots of baby showers and nursery decorating on the mind for sure. Not to mention, my Pinterest account is overflowing with lots of nursing, pregnancy, and baby 101 sorts of posts.
With that in mind, I was inspired to create this adorable, pink and orange chevron baby elephant gift box! Perfect for baby girl presents!
What You'll Need:
Pink and Orange Chevron Paper (not pictured)
Scissors (not pictured)
A Plain White Box
A Plain White Box
Spray Gun (optional)
The pink and orange chevron paper is from Hazel Ruby and you can buy it on Amazon on this site. The Bobee elephant decals you can also buy here.
What you'll need to do first is measure and cut the paper for the lid of the box. What I did was remove the top of the box and then I laid it down upside down onto the roll of paper and cut from there. Once I had a sizable amount of paper that would cover the entirety of the lid, I used scissors to cut
(and at this time also measured and cut paper for the small slit at the front of the box).
Then I used my spray gun and spray adhesive to evenly and lightly coat the entire top part of my box lid. The key to spray adhesive is you need to give it 30 seconds before you stick anything to it--the longer you let the glue sit, the tackier it will get (before it dries). I laid the lid upside down on top of the paper and smoothed it out so there were no lines, air bubbles, or crinkles. Pretty simple!
For the edges where the top meets the sides of the lid (see photos below), I used a standard, gift wrapping technique to fold the bottom half of the leftover paper with the top half. I did this for both sides vertically.
Then, I grabbed my elephant decals and placed them on the box. Aren't they super cute?!
