Using Temporary Tattoos on Mason Jars

Disclaimer: I was compensated to review and use these tattoos. All opinions are my own.

Happy Wednesday!

I have a DIY epiphany to share with all of you that definitely blew my mind--have you have an excess of mason jars in your house? Well, I sure do! I am a mason jar hoarder if I am being totally honest. I love buying them in all shapes, sizes, colors, ones with handles...you name it and I've probably got that type of mason jar! But what I struggle with is making them stand out above the rest. I have tried painting on them and it looks fine, but since I have so many painting them one by one takes super long
(and I get impatient when waiting for them to dry).

Here is my epiphany: you can use a temporary tattoo on a mason jar!

I know, I know! It is crazy awesome and totally opens the door to a lot of mason jar decorating projects!

Using temporary tattoos on a mason jar is pretty straight forward if you've ever used temporary tattoos. When you buy some, they typically come in sheets like shown in the photo below:

Directions to apply temporary tattoo to mason jar:

1. Clean and dry the mason jar surface you are going to place the tattoo on.
2. Cut out the tattoo design (if it comes on a sheet).
3. Remove any transparent film that is on it, and then place the tattoo face down onto the mason jar.
4. With a damp cloth of paper towel, pat down the tattoo onto the mason jar.
5. Pat generously for 1-2 minutes.
6. Peel the corner of that tattoo sheet up gently to see if it has transferred onto the mason jar or not. If it hasn't transferred, place the sheet back down and continue to pat with a damp cloth.
7. Continue patting and checking until it's transferred, and then gently peel the tattoo sheet up and off.
8. Let mason jar dry, and then remove excess tattoo glue with a tooth pick.

The mason jar decoration possibilities are endless!
