We've all been there, right? Our stomach is rumbling so ferociously and loudly it seems as though the entire room can hear, and we begin to yearn and crave something sweet or savory to eat. We're deep in thought and working through the plan which gets us something to eat when suddenly someone you love or care about asks you a simple question--and we just lose it.

This my friends is what we call "hanger."

You were so hungry that you had a false sense of anger, and you took it out on someone who did not deserve it by any means. For me, this is my husband and my family. I have been guilty in the past of showing my "hangry" side enough that I have a reputation in my family. They know my palms sweat and my Boston accent shines through when I get hungry, and I really don't like that they have to tip toe around me!

"Don't upset Cathy when she's hungry," they say.

And it pains me. I know I should not let my hunger turn me into a big, scary green monster who can fight evil at the drop of a hat. But alas, there is a cure:

SNICKERS® heals my hangry soul.
And what better way to celebrate the joy that is SNICKERS® than with my other favorite sweet treats: ice cream and soda pop.
Needless to say, I am obsessed with this SNICKERS® Ice Cream Float--and I hope you all give it a try, too!

What You'll Need:
(per serving)
  • SNICKERS® Extreme, Peanut Butter Squares (chopped)
  • 1 large drinking glass
  • 1 paper (or plastic) straw
  • 1 liter of your favorite pop
  • 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  1. Chop up your SNICKERS® Extreme, Peanut Butter Squares and set them aside.
  2. Fill your large drinking glass 3/4 of the way up with cold pop.
  3. Put your straw into the glass of pop.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix your chopped SNICKERS® Extreme, Peanut Butter Squares and your vanilla ice cream.
  5. Scoop your vanilla ice cream on top of your pop in the cup and try to not touch the straw.
  6. Top your ice cream with additional pieces of SNICKERS® Extreme, Peanut Butter Squares.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
Adding SNICKERS® Extreme, Peanut Butter Squares to vanilla ice cream was probably the greatest discovery I have made so far in 2015.

Do you know someone who gets "hangry?"
