Happy Monday!
I hope you all had something fun to do this past weekend! We spend the majority of the weekend again with my mom since she was in town, and we had such a blast! We hope you all spent some time with your friends and loved ones, too, and we are enjoying some yummy pastries to get us through the week:
Making these puff pastries is a lot easier than I had anticipated! For the actual dough recipe, I used the steps and recipe listed on Serious Eats blog (click here to see their page).
Once I prepared and flattened my dough, I began to cut them into squares.
Then I laid just a bit of flour on top of a non-stick baking sheet, and then placed the dough squares onto the mat.
Then, I baked them in the oven at 400 degrees (Farenheit) for 10-15 minutes (until they were golden brown).
Then once they cooled a bit, I split them down the middle so that they each have a top and bottom!
Then, I filled my little pastries with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Mmmmm! Yum!
This was the perfect little pick-me-up I needed!
What would you fill your puff pastries with?
These look so delicious and light. Fluffy and flaky crust with a yummy filling. I'm excited to try these out. They look wonderful!

DeleteI've made this type of pastry before and was so surprised at how simple it was. You just need time to do it. It's definitely worth trying at least once, if for no other reason than to appreciate the work that goes into it.
