Moms need to be spoiled for all of the hard work they do. Relaxation and healing are crucial for everyone, and especially for hard-working moms. This mother's day, indulge the mother in your life and give her an at-home spa experience! In this post, we'll talk about some ways to easily create a spa-like environment from the comfort of your home. Special thanks to Jeff Gold Music for partnering on this post with us.
Having a spa day at home is very easy! You don't even need a fancy bathroom to achieve this. It's all about the ambiance and putting in a little effort. There are a lot of things that you can do to make a Mother feel relaxed and appreciated by creating a spa experience for her--here are a few examples!
Give her bath salts! (homemade or store bought). Check out these lovely, orange cream bath salts from Crafting in the Rain. If you've never had a bath with bath salts before, you are missing out! There are lots of benefits to bathing with salts, but my favorite thing is how smooth if leaves your skin afterwards.
Put together a gift bag! This is easy and very much affordable to do--I would recommend putting together the bag, and giving it to her as the start of her spa day at home. The bag can include some of the items that you will give her to create that relaxing, soothing spa experience (like lotions, oils, candles, nail polish, bath salts, etc). Check out more info on putting together a gift bag from A Bride on a Budget blog.
Get her a really good body wash! Or, better yet, make her the best body wash ever! This tutorial from Practically Functional features an amazing, homemade moisturizing body wash that is a must-try.
Give her a bath caddy! Or you can make one--I have a super easy tutorial that I have previously shared here on the blog, which will walk you through how to make a handmade bath caddy.
Put on some spa music! One of my favorite things about visiting the spa is the music. Music is so powerful, and it can really change the ambiance so easily. If there is anything in this list that I say is a must-do, it's having good spa music playing to set the tone for the at-home spa experience! Jeff Gold's "Simple Treasures" is such a peaceful, serene album and I totally felt relaxed and at-ease when I was listening to it. If you are unsure of what kind of music to get for an at-home spa experience, I can personally recommend Jeff Gold's music. Check out his site to buy his albums, listen, learn more about him, or even get a free download here.

DeleteAt home spa days can be just what the doctored order. Especially when the weather is yucky outside and you do not want to drive anywhere.
ReplyDeleteTotally--the weather can get really bad in some parts of the country during the winter!
