Special thanks to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for making this special Mother's Day outing possible--because what better way to spend Mother's Day than by pampering the mother in your life? Well, I did not think there was any better way, so that's why this year I am spoiling my mom and taking her out to a spa for a massage here in Scottsdale!
Mum and I loved all of the awesome amenities in the spa. Out of all of the facilities, our favorites were the rooftop adult-only pool and eucalyptus inhalation room! This time of year is lovely to be by the pool--it's just now getting warm enough outside to want to lay by the pool, and just about hot enough to take a quick plunge. Laying in the private cabanas and looking up at the warm, blue sky simply felt like heaven for mom! And that eucalyptus inhalation room was such a neat experience we hadn't tried anywhere else. We felt like all of our allergies troubles just melted away after we left that room--it really opened up our sinuses and helped us breathe better for sure.
What we loved about the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Well and Being Spa is that all of their indoor and outdoor spa amenities were included in the price of our services--it really felt like a full day of pampering for us, and we felt so relaxed, rejuvenated, and spoiled afterwards! Mom was so excited, and she said she will definitely want to come back with me next year for Mother's Day too!
So when it was time for our spa appointments, we headed back inside to get our things together and part ways just for about an hour or so. This year, I wanted to surprise my mom with her very first massage! When I took her to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, I had booked her a 60 minutes, Spirit of the Stone massage. While mom was being pampered just a few rooms away, I enjoyed having my hair shampooed and cut at their fabulous salon. Mom said her massage was as great as she thought it would ever be, and this definitely will not be her last massage (I think we've finally converted her hehe)! My hair looks fantastic now too--I really needed a good haircut, since sadly I had a lot of split ends and needed some fresh new layers added to my hair. I am simply loving my new hair!
When mom and I finally left hours after arriving, I asked her if there was anything she felt like she was missing from her first real spa experience. She laughed and said, "oh heck no! It was amazing!" So needless to say, I know that taking mom to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Well and Being Spa for a Mother's Day outing was the right choice for sure!
