"The Jodie" -- My Mom's Go-To, Iced Tea and Citrus Vodka Cocktail

Not too long ago, my awesome Mom (Jodie) was in town visiting with us and we had such a blast! While she was here, we spent some serious time doing some mother-daughter bonding (and some nights enjoyed some alcoholic drinks together). In this post, I'll be sharing my mom's favorite cocktail--thanks to Kuuk for providing us with their large, silicone ice cube tray molds to us. The following recipe contains alcohol--please drink responsibly.

My mom and I always have the best adventures together! During her last visit here with us in Arizona, we rented a car and drove all around Arizona.

We went to places like Jerome, Sedona, Lake Havasu, and many more. After many hours and hours of driving, we'd stop and relax for a bit and grab a bite to eat (and splurge on a cocktail)!

This cocktail is what my mom drinks (thus the name), and today we're sharing how to make it:

"The Jodie" Ingredients:
1 cup of Unsweetened Iced Tea
1/4 cup of Absolut Citron
1/2 cup of ice cubes
Lemon slice for garnish

Since it's so hot here in Phoenix and we don't want the drink to get warm, we toss in a few #KuukSiliconeLargeIceCubeMoldTray ice cubes into our "Jodie" cocktail!

And these ice cubes are great! When I fill them up and throw them in the freezer, I know when I really need them I don't need to aggressively hit the ice cube tray against the counter; the frozen cubes just glide right out of their silicone container and are perfect for any cocktail (or other cool beverages) I want to enjoy.

Does your mom or dad have a go-to drink or cocktail?

  1. Sounds great! Perfect for summer. And love that mug.

    1. Thanks yes it's super refreshing, and we've had a few of these since summer weather rolled in :)

  2. I have been seeing these copper mugs every where lately. I think they are so cute -- but the best thing about them is that they are also functional!! They really go great with lots of different decor schemes.

    1. They are totally in style right now! They work in home decor really well with succulents. And of course are awesome to drink out of, too!
