Adam and I try the best we can to have our date night on a regular basis, but since it can get expensive to go out every week we enjoy planning at-home date nights. A few days ago, I decided to build a romantic indoor fort for our date night--not only is it an inexpensive date night idea, but it's also such an easy at-home date night idea that anyone could do it!
To make our romantic indoor fort we used: 2 chairs, a tall lamp, 4 craft foam boards, a fluffy throw blanket, 2 sheer white sheets (about 3 yards wide), 1 decorative sheer white sheet (about 3 yards wide), solar string lights, a solar mason jar lamp, and three throw pillows.
Stretch the sheet over each chair. Adjust the sheet accordingly so that it drapes down all the way and touches the floor (by doing this, it will give your fort a cohesive look).
Drape the inside of the fort with solar-powered string lights. Toss a few throw pillows inside, and decorate with a solar-powered mason jar lamp.
Before any date night we have, I always try to get dolled up a little bit. While I am getting ready, I like to make sure that my breath smells fresh as well in case we decide to do a little smooching during our date! ;-)
LISTERINE® COOL MINT® Antiseptic Mouthwash 1L, LISTERINE® TOTAL CARE Fresh Mint 1L, and LISTERINE® POCKETPAKS® Cool Mint 72c are all available at Walmart in the personal care section.
No matter what time of day you and your loved one want to spend some time together, this romantic indoor fort looks beautiful and whimsical both during the day as well as at night. Whether you want to enjoy a lunchtime picnic in your new indoor fort or maybe turn down the lights and cuddle up in the fort in the dark, make sure you use some LISTERINE® TOTAL CARE Fresh Mint while you're getting ready for your special date night!
This indoor fort is romantic during the day and at night!
