One Pan, Chicken and Parmigiano-Reggiano Noodle Pasta Skillet

Shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese melted over warm, boiled egg noodle pasta and chicken tossed in fresh crush basil EVOO.

So, I really love sharing pasta recipes! If you've been a blog reader for a while I am sure you could have figured that out by now. Really, I would not even need a reason to share a new pasta recipe with you, however, when I noticed last week that The Ultimate Recipe Challenge theme for this month was pasta I simply knew I needed to share a new recipe on the blog!

This one pan, pasta skillet recipe is perfect for a middle of the week dinner plan and all of the ingredients are cooked in one pan (which means there are less dishes you have to do during clean-up later!)

This convenient pasta dinner recipe is packed with Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and paired with boneless and skinless chicken tossed in fresh crush basil olive oil. Prepare this hearty, one-pan pasta dish in under 30 minutes any night of the week!

One Pan, Chicken and Parmigiano-Reggiano Noodle Pasta Skillet

  • 1 3/4 cups of egg noodles, dried pasta
  • 2 boneless chicken breasts, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups of low-sodium chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons of Queen Creek Olive Mill Fresh Crush Basil Olive Oil
  • About 1/2 tablespoon fresh basil
  1. Heat a large stovetop skillet on medium-low heat with basil olive oil on the pan.
  2. Grill the chicken in the pan until it's fully cooked. Once chicken is cooked, turn heat off and remove pan from heat.
  3. Once the skillet has completely cooled, fill the pan with the egg noodles and chicken broth. Mix the ingredients together so that the pasta is mostly submerged under the broth.
  4. Turn the heat back up to a boil, and stir the pasta until it's fully cooked from the broth.
  5. Once the pasta is cooked, most of the broth will have been evaporated by the noodles and chicken. Once this happens, pour in your cheese and fresh basil and mix well.
  6. Enjoy!
