Halloween is coming up, and we've got creepy desserts on our minds!

Whip up one of these spooky, Halloween ice cream floats for a delicious and festive way to celebrate the scariest holiday of the year!  These recipes are wickedly fun and everyone on your Halloween party guest list can enjoy them!

Halloween Ice Cream Orange Float

Ingredients:
  • 12 ounces of Fanta® Orange
  • 1 tablespoon of white chocolate sauce
  • 2-3 large scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon of half and half
Directions:
  1. Grab a large, tall glass for the float, and place it in the freezer for about 10 minutes before you prepare your float.
  2. Add the half and half and white chocolate sauce into the glass, and mix them together.
  3. Pour the Fanta Orange into the glass so that it fills up about 3/4 of the way.
  4. Slowly scoop the ice cream into the glass, and stir all of the ingredients together.
  5. Serve immediately with a large straw and enjoy!
Vampire Ice Cream Strawberry Float

Ingredients:
  • 12 ounces of Fanta® Strawberry
  • 1 tablespoon of white chocolate sauce
  • 2-3 large scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon of half and half
Edible Fake Blood Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup of ice cold water
  • 1/2 cup of corn starch
  • About 1/2 tablespoon of red gel food coloring
Directions:
  1. Grab a large, tall glass for the float, and place it in the freezer for about 10 minutes before you prepare your float.
  2. Prepare your fake blood by whisking the ingredients in a small mixing bowl, and then microwave it on high for about 90 seconds. The consistency should be thicker (microwave in 30-second intervals until it is a gel consistency), and allow it to cool a bit. If the texture is too thick, you can add in a tablespoon of water at a time until it's the right texture. Once it's cooled, fill a piping bag with the fake blood and decorate the rim of the glass in dripping motions.
  3. Add the half and half and white chocolate sauce into the float glass, and mix them together well.
  4. Pour the Fanta Strawberry into the glass so that it fills up about 3/4 of the way.
  5. Slowly scoop the ice cream into the glass, and stir all of the ingredients together.
  6. Serve immediately with a large straw and enjoy!

Both of these ice cream floats are spooky and fun for your Halloween celebrations! Our Halloween Ice Cream Float is orange and festive--we recommend decorating your cup by attaching a rubber bat, snake, or whatever scary monsters you can find at your local Family Dollar. The second treat we're sharing today is our Vampire Ice Cream Float, and this creepy dessert features a rim of edible, fake blood dripping around the rim of the glass.

Our Family Dollar store has everything we need for our floats, including the Fanta Orange and Fanta Strawberry we used to make these recipes. Be on the look out for the special, one-stop Halloween Fanta® display along with all of the other Fanta® flavors we love including Grape, Pineapple, Grapefruit, Apple, Peach, and Cherry at your nearby location.
