Pineapple Green Smoothie

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Weave Made Media® and Hyperbiotics, but all my opinions are my own. #weavemade #HealthiestDaysAhead”

Since the start of my weight loss journey 10 months ago, I have really begun to pay attention to my health. That includes not only how active I should be, but also really taking the time to learn about nutrition and what I need to fuel my body. Comfort foods packed with cheese, bacon, and carbs always have been and always will be a part of my life. But lately, I've been focusing more on moderation and making small changes to my lifestyle that will ultimately result in bigger changes.

Smoothies and smoothie bowls have become a normal part of my diet. Before I began taking care of my health and actively reading nutrition labels, I had no interest in smoothies other than enjoying them simply because they were cold and refreshing (and are amazing to enjoy in the summertime when it's in the triple digits and I don't want to turn on the oven to cook breakfast). Sure, I've always enjoyed smoothies and liked to experiment fun recipes with them, but now I often look to smoothies as a meal and a way to help me get a lot of the nutrition my body needs all in one glass.

This pineapple and kale green smoothie recipe is about as "green" as I go. For now, anyway. Green smoothies never appealed to me before since I had a lot of trouble getting past the color--my childhood memories of watching Nickelodeon and seeing people get slimed always comes to mind whenever I think about green smoothies. But since starting to build my morning routine around improving my health, I've started to dip my toes in the "eating green" pool. After trial and error, I've finally come up with a combination of ingredients that taste good to me and this pineapple green smoothie recipe has become one of my go-to breakfast smoothies.

When I start my morning with a meal packed with nutrition, I always carry more energy with me throughout the rest of the day. Making an effort to maintain a healthy morning routine has given me more health benefits than I can count, and in addition to eating more fruits and vegetables with smoothies, I've also begun taking probiotics to help encourage better digestive health.

Right now, I'm taking Hyperbiotics PRO 15 from Target (it's an easy to swallow pearl that replenishes beneficial bacteria). Since I began taking
Hyperbiotics PRO 15, the biggest change I've noticed is that I feel like I have more energy and clarity throughout the day. Normally, I'd get sleepy and feel sore in the afternoon (especially on a gym day), but since I started taking Hyperbiotics PRO 15 I have not felt as fatigued as I have in the past. What I've learned Hyperbiotics PRO 15 does is it uses 15 targeted probiotic strains to help create an environment for my body to digest vitamins and minerals better, which is expected to result in less irritability and fatigue. On top of offering less fatigue, it also helps provide daily relief from bloating and irregularity. It is also made without any preservatives, artificial colors or flavors, lactose, sugar, and gluten so it's accessible to many people!
