Our Mini Family: A Halloween-Inspired Pizza Night

A Halloween-Inspired Pizza Night

Get excited for Halloween! See the details from our spooky pizza night below--this post is sponsored by Papa John's but the content/opinions expressed here are my own.

Is it technically still summer? Yes. But does my love for Halloween and the fall season seem more important than what date is on my calendar? Abso-freakin-lutely!

It's always about this time of year when my palms get itchy and the Halloween decorations in our garage start calling out to me in the middle of the night. "Caaaaathy! Summer is almost over, Cathy. Do you know what that means?" I mean, of course, I know what it means! It's only a matter of time I give in to the voices in my head and start hanging up my autumnal leaves and start putting skeletons and black roses all around my house. I can't help it when I see spooky decorations at the craft store and aisles filled with Halloween candy at the grocery store! This year, I'm ignoring calendar holiday etiquette completely and embracing Halloween before it's socially acceptable!

This week, Adam and I started putting up our fall and Halloween decorations around the house. For our at-home date night this week, we opted to order in dinner from Papa John's Pizza and we tried their delicious new gluten-free crust made with ancient grains. Today, I'm sharing the details from our Halloween-inspired pizza night we had in hopes that it will inspire you to get excited for the coming season and Adam's favorite holiday!

This year, we decorated our house with plenty of black, red, purple, and white accents. I found some beautiful Halloween decorations at our local craft store and thought they were the perfect way to show off our love for this spooky holiday!

There are so many ways to incorporate the spooky decorations you already own for a Halloween-inspired pizza night at home. A wreath or a door sign is a wonderful centerpiece you can have hanging above the table. Any bookshelf or table decorations can be used to accompany different foods and work as a focal point for your tablescape. You can also use your food in a creative way to inspire Halloween--for instance, you can serve orange soda to go with the classic black and orange Halloween look, or you can whip up a Jack-O-Lantern shaped fruit platter (click here to see that tutorial from our spooky walking taco party last year).

We enjoyed a gluten-free crust pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni from Papa John's Pizza and it was so tasty (just as good as the regular pizza we usually order with the traditional crust!) We also indulged in an order of their double chocolate chip brownie--so delicious!

Our friends at Papa John's Pizza are offering you an exclusive coupon to try their NEW Gluten-Free Crust with Ancient Grains for just $9.99 for a small 2-topping pizza with this code while supplies last: GLTN2T
