Right after I turned 21, I remember going out with some of my sorority sisters for my very first #tacotuesday celebration. It was right after winter break had ended, so the weather here in Phoenix was absolutely divine! After classes had ended for the day, we all met up at one of the dive bars just off campus and found a table for us on the back patio.
I remember all of us sitting and catching up on the patio, and when our waiter came by to take our drink orders and I practically threw my wallet across the table because I was so excited to be able to order a margarita at dinner with my girlfriends before we scarfed down what looked like easily 100 tacos between all of us! It was such a fun night! Great friends, delicious tacos, and yummy frozen margaritas!
Today, I am sharing a frozen margarita recipe that I like to make and enjoy with a plate of tacos!
- 1 1/2 cups of ice cubes
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of Agavero Orange Liqueur
- 1 tablespoon of Gran Centenario Plata
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of lime juice
- 1/8 cup of kosher salt (optional, for salting the rim)
- Salt the rim of a large margarita glass and store it in the freezer.
- Pour the Agavero Orange Liqueur, Gran Centenario Plata, and lime juice in a blender.
- Add in the ice cubes.
- Blend until it's smooth to taste (you can always add in a few extra ice cubes if you want a thicker consistency to your margarita).
- Pour the blended, frozen margarita into the glass.
- Serve with your favorite tacos and enjoy!
