Our new apartment finally feels like home! Check out how Adam and I styled our new space with a different interior design, our partnership with Mor Furniture, and some news about what we hope the future brings!
Our long-time followers may notice a shift in our decor style, and there is a reason for this!
Besides our new apartment having dark wood flooring, Adam and I made the decision together to switch from our all-white-and-pristine-looking decor to something a little bit more functional and comfortable but still very much representative of our style. It is our hope that by this time next year we will have a puppy in our home, and having a white microfiber couch is not ideal for a new puppy!

Today, we are sharing the reveal for our living room, entryway, and dining room! We may end up also doing a reveal for the rest of the apartment depending on if you want to see that or not (so feel free to let us know if you want to see the rest of the place, too!)
When we started our move this summer we knew that we would be switching from light to darker tones in our living area, so we opted to sell some of our old pieces of furniture and began looking online for interior design inspiration for a different way to decorate our new home. We knew we wanted dark browns mixed with some light browns and cream colors for our living space, as well as vintage and industrial elements mixed in. When we saw this Top Hat Chocolate Sofa and its matching Top Hat Chocolate Chair from Mor Furniture, we knew it would be ideal for just the two of us and perfectly compliments the industrial-meets-dark-neutral-Southwestern-style we are shooting for.
When we had just one small couch before, we always ended up having to bring all of the extra chairs around the home into our living room anytime we had people over and we wanted to gather in front of our television. Since we have a larger sofa and another chair just a few feet away from our dining table, now we can comfortably host 8 people in front of our television with no hassle or needing to move around any furniture.
Now that we have a comfy and functional living area, Adam and I are really looking forward to football Sundays and having a couple of friends over for some pre-game appetizers and getting together to watch the game! For our new dining room that adjoins with our living room, we got the Gia Light Brown Counter-Height Table with 4 stools knowing that when we entertained people it would likely be to watch television as a group. This taller table has a sports bar feel to it, but it's still really chic and goes along with our decor. When Adam and I saw this table at the Mor Furniture warehouse in person we knew this would be perfect for entertaining as well as when the two of us sit down for meals together.
We are really enjoying how comfortable and livable our new space feels with our new furniture pieces from Mor Furniture, and we are getting so excited about the thought of adopting a puppy in the coming months after we have done some other household-related preparations (i.e. our home office is currently not puppy friendly, but we're going to be working on that this fall!)
