Our Mini Linky Party | Week 197

Good morning!

It has been an interesting week for sure. I have been dealing with a bout of anxiety that kind of came out of left field for no apparent reason, so my work and the blog kind of took the backseat in my life this week. 

I did a check-in on Instagram this week and wanted to talk openly about my anxiety, and it was refreshing to see so many people agree with me in that sometimes the right thing to do is step away from social media when feeling anxiety. I've been focusing on my mental health, and lately, that has been not getting too involved with social media and stepping back from some of my online communities I engage with regularly. 

Beyond dealing with some anxiety and just feeling totally out of sync with my normal self, Adam has not been sleeping well and has been having some issues with his insomnia. We ordered him some new pillows and an ergonomic pillow for his shoulder, and with all of the tossing and turning we've been doing all week, it feels like neither of us got any rest all week long. I'm hopeful that we will have time this weekend to nap sporadically throughout the day, and we will just keep our fingers crossed that his new ergonomic pillows help so that we can both get some much-needed rest once the pillows arrive in the mail.

    1. Thanks! We got the pillows! He has been using them and I can tell there will definitely be an adjustment period, but I am hopeful that they will make a great impact for him!

  3. Hi Cathy. Anxiety and depression are both REAL. People don't tend to take it seriously. Any bodily concern is always taken care of eg fever, headache, muscular pain etc. But feeling exhausted, worried, not-in-sync - we tend to feel, alittle rest will do the trick - fact is - we are more mentally stressed today, than ever before. Take it easy friend.
    Take some time out and relax. Draw, paint, visit a spa, get a massage etc
