Summer is upon us, which means the city has cleared out and the triple-digit weather is here to stay!
With the temps heating up, it's always fun to bring out the margarita mixer, prepare something delicious and cool to drink, and sit in the shade by the pool. This past weekend, Adam and I were walking around the farmer's market and saw there were some strawberries and limes on clearance so we picked up a bunch and decided we'd make some strawberry lemonade margaritas. We made a stop by Safeway to pick up some triple sec and a few other things we'd need like a large bag of ice and Florida's Natural™ Lemonade with Strawberry, we went home, and then we brought the blender out to prepare some refreshing, strawberry lemonade margaritas!

While Adam and I are going to have a busy summer, we are hoping that we will be able to manage some major downtime and still have little bouts of relaxation here and there throughout the weekend. We always try to clear our calendars mid-July to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but for the most part, we are either traveling for work or so busy with work that we sometimes struggle to find any time to just kick back and unwind. We are constantly working on our time management and trying to find ways to make time for us even when we are busy, and in the summertime, the easiest way to do this is to make a drink and sit by the pool.
Even if it's just for a half hour or so, Adam and I try to make a trip to the pool to hang out at least once a week. We like to spend this time relaxing, catching up, and cooling down from the intensity that is the desert summer heat. These strawberry lemonade margaritas are so yummy and perfect for a late afternoon trip to the pool after a long work week!

Ingredients:
- 4-5 frozen strawberries (destemmed)
- 3/4 cup of Florida's Natural™ Lemonade with Strawberry
- 1/2 cup of ice
- 1 shot of silver tequila
- 1/3 shot of triple sec
- margarita salt (optional)
- fruit for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Fill a mixer with the strawberries and Florida's Natural™ Lemonade with Strawberry and crush them up on high-speed (bursts of 5 seconds at a time will likely give you the best results).
- Fill the mixer with ice and repeat (add ice if you want to make it a bit more frozen).
- Pour in a shot of tequila and a little bit of triple sec, and mix on medium speed for 1-2 seconds.
- Rim a glass with margarita salt, slice up some fruits for garnish, and fill the margarita glass with the mixture.
If you're wanting to recreate this strawberry lemonade margarita recipe, I highly recommend looking out for Florida's Natural™ Lemonade. In addition to Lemonade with Strawberry, they offer six other delicious varieties including Lemonade with Raspberry & Peach, Lemonade with Pomegranate, and Lemonade with Blackberry. Florida's Natural™ Lemonade is so refreshing and perfect to make cocktails with, but what we really like about it is that they donate all of their profits to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation™.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation™ raises donations to fund research for treating and curing children with cancer. ALSF provides care for families impacted by childhood cancer and offers programs like Travel for Care and SuperSibs, which does things like cover expenses for families to travel to clinical trials and treatments not available in their area and provides support to children who are siblings of children with cancer. Since any time Florida's Natural™ Lemonade makes a profit on their lemonade they donate it to ALSF, I always stop and pick up a bottle of their lemonade whenever I see it in the grocery store!
