Our Mini Linky Party | Week 280

And just like that, it's June.

I had a pretty terrible week. Between the stuff happening in the news and the injury that I got this week, I have not had the best or most productive of weeks.

I spent a lot of time reading up on what's happening this week and also watching live streams of the protests happening around the U.S. this week (if you're unsure what I am talking about, I recommend you search the names 'George Floyd,' 'Regis Korchinski-Paquet,' and 'Ahmaud Arbery.' If you're on social media or watch the news, there is already a good chance you have heard of at least one of these 3 people. But if you have not, I encourage you to spend a few minutes to learn about these murders and the cases of police brutality. If no one on your Facebook feed has shared anything about these 3 people, I hope you find something to share with your friends and family to spread awareness about these murders. Bringing more awareness to this will bring us closer to police reform and ultimately make the streets safer for people of color.

As for my injury, I rolled my ankle getting out of the car and slammed down onto the asphalt, and completely cut up my knee cap on the other leg in the process. I'm just looking forward to a new week, and hopefully, a better outlook on life!

Check out the features from this week:

  1. Cathy, I'm so sorry to read about your injury and appreciate you brining light to all the pain in our country. It's so overwhelming that this linky party on a Saturday morning is a great way to balance emotions. Thank you! Thanks, too, for featuring my low carb breakfast casserole. Somehow the spinach and bacon make magic! :) Best, jen
