Our Mini Linky Party | Week 311

Happy New Year! As I am sure you already guessed, we stayed home to celebrate this year.

2021 has finally arrived, and Adam and I are choosing to go into the new year with some realistic hope. I'm hopeful that the two of us will continue with what we are already doing, which is staying home and keeping our distance, and we are hopeful that we will continue to improve ourselves. We don't like to set new year's resolutions because they are meant to be broken. Adam has his goals lined up and we're doing what we need to do to help him with those, and this year, my goal is to invest more.

Investing has never been something that's crossed my mind. But now that I'm in my thirties, with no retirement fund setup since I cashed mine out when I quit my job at Apple, I am looking to build up more secured savings for myself and Adam when we reach an age where we cannot or do not want to work anymore. Until now, we have had to spend to get by and now we're switching gears and we are trying our absolute best to live below our means so we can build up savings to where we want them.

Speaking of investing, I am also investing more in my education. I am starting up my first of what I anticipate to be quite a few online classes/courses to further my knowledge of the non-profit sector. I start my first ASU course of 2021 on Monday!

How are you feeling? Are you happy that 2020 is finally over? What are you hopeful for in the new year?
