Our Mini Linky Party | Week 334

I am so excited to share with you that I have made plans to see not one, but TWO of my best friends in person! YAY! Is it finally starting to feel back to normal since the pandemic started? I hope so!

I'm so happy that soon I'll be able to get brunch with one of my best friends who I met before I moved across the country to go to ASU. At the time, we met online in an ASU Class of 2011 Facebook group back when Facebook was actually fun and made for college kids. We bonded instantly while we were chatting online since we were both nervous about making huge cross-country moves by ourselves to go to school, and when the time came for us to move, she was one of the first people I sought out to meet in real life! I'm forever grateful to that Facebook group--as a nervous freshman in a new place with no friends or family, it was nice having already met a few people online that I could message and go meet up with at the Memorial Union for meals. She is one of my best friends and she always has been since we met! I can't wait to get brunch with her and give her a gigantic hug!

Then, one of my best friends who I met through a common friend we had at the time, is coming to the U.S. for her first post-pandemic visit. She'll be leaving England now that their travel ban is lifted to come back here for a week or so, and we've made plans to go shopping and run errands together. One of the places we know we want to go is Last Chance--she is the one who taught me all about how Last Chance works, so it only makes sense we'd go shopping there together again! We also love to go thrift shopping, so there's a good chance we'll get into some of that, too. She is one of my dearest friends with who I've stayed closely connected since college, and she's traveled with me to work as my assistant on press visits (we had some crazy adventures when we went to Puerto PeƱasco together--like when we went to the Malecon together and abandoned our group to get the best brunch in Rocky Point just the two of us!)

I'm just feeling really, truly grateful today. Grateful for things to begin to fall back into place after not being able to see the people I care about. I cannot wait to see them again! YAY!
