I have a confession to make: these are my absolute favorite guilty pleasure! Adam has been making them for us off and on for a few weeks, and I'm excited to finally share his creation with all of you!
Serves Cook Time Total Time Prep Time Publisher 4 35 minutes 1 hour 20 minutes 45 minutes CatharineMini Ingredients
- 5 rusett potatoes
- 1/2 tablspoon salt
- 1/2 tablspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- A sprinkling of garlic powder
- A handful of bacon bits
- 1 cup of queso
- 1 cup of jalapeños
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 425.
- 2. Cut potatoes length wise, so that they are thin and long.
- 3. Fillet the pieces cut into wedges.
- 4. Take your wedges and soak them in ice water for 35 mins.
- 5. Take them out and lay them with skin side down on a baking sheet.
- 6. Layer them in a thin coat of olive oil.
- 7. Cover them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- 8. Bake for 30 mins.
- 9. Take them out of the oven and cover in queso & bacon & jalapeños as you desire.
- 10. Put them back in the oven for 5 mins to remove when you have your desired heat.
