Thank you to Tate and Lyle Sugars for sponsoring our post!
Can you believe we're just a few weeks from Halloween now? Adam and I need to start decorating around the house ASAP before it really sneaks up on us. We have yet to plan our costumes this year, but we have been definitely enjoying some Halloween-inspired treats! Today, we've partnered with Tate and Lyle Sugars to share this creepy bloody eyeball popcorn with you!
Learn how to achieve this ghoulish popcorn snack below!
So for our Caramel, Bloody Eyeballs Popcorn you will need:
- Popcorn
- Red food coloring
- 1 cup of margarine or butter
- Tate and Lyle Caramel Syrup
- Gummy Bear Eyeballs
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare your popcorn.
Step 2: Using a small, microwaveable bowl, scoop 1/2 cup of margarine or butter.
Step 3: Grab your red food coloring, and put about 5 drops of it onto the butter. Using a spoon or fork, stir the food coloring and butter together as evenly as you can.
Step 4: Microwave the butter for 15-20 seconds on high, or until it is in liquid form.
Step 5: Add in 1 tablespoon of Tate and Lyle Caramel Syrup.
Step 6: Add in remaining butter and continue to stir together until evenly.
Step 7: Place in microwave for another 15-20 seconds on high, or until it is in liquid form.
Step 8: Remove from microwave and add in about 5-10 more red food coloring drops until you reach the desired red you want.
Step 9: Add in 1 more tablespoon of Tate and Lyle Caramel Syrup and blend evenly.
Step 10: Drizzle warm, caramel butter over popcorn and serve!
(And of course, throw in those gummy bear eyeballs to make it even more ghoulish!)
