Visiting the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

Experience seeing the animals that inhabit Alaska at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center!

Grizzly bears, moose, elk, deer, black bears, and much more!

During my last trip to Alaska, I spent a lot of time during my visit in and around the Greater Anchorage area. Just 40 minutes south from downtown Anchorage is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where I spent some time seeing and learning more about the animals that inhabit America's final frontier!

What I really enjoyed about my trip to the AWCC, apart from seeing and photographing the animals, was learning all about the wildlife rehabilitation efforts and success stories! It is wonderful to know that there is an organization out there that I can support by visiting and buying an admission ticket and that my support will go towards caring for hundreds of displaced and endangered animals!

My visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center was great! The weather was beautiful and the skies were clear, and I saw an abundance of wildlife. Some of my favorite animals we saw were bears, deer, oxen, and moose! If you enjoy taking photos and plan to capture some awesome photographs or videos of some Alaskan wildlife, most of the fences at the AWCC have space for you to fit a longer lens through (so you can get some photos without the fencing in the picture if you'd like!)

If you're planning a visit to the Anchorage area in Alaska, I encourage you to stop by and visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center! You can learn more about them on their website

  3. Oh WOW. Beautiful photos! What a great trip! Alaska is definitely on my bucket list. I can't wait to take the family there, hopefully someday soon. That close up photo of the bear's face is amazing!

  4. Oh - how beautiful it is to see all of the animals out and about and enjoying their natural. I absolutely love it and love the photos. I have wanted to go to Alaska all my life and hope to take my family there, but a trip from Hawaii to anywhere can be costly, so we are saving up.

  5. Wow, this is so neat! Alaska is on my list of places to visit some day! I am dying to see a moose!
