Mother's Day will be here before we know it, and everyone knows a personalized gift is better than something purchased last-minute!

Putting together a gift basket for a present for a friend, co-worker, or loved one has always been my preferred way to celebrate someone special in my life. It lets them know I took the time to search for items that I curated specifically with them in mind and shows them how much I know them and that I am thinking of them. Some of my gift basket must-haves for Mother's Day include spa-inspired items, a delicious snack, something she can use, something she can wear, and something she can enjoy during happy hour (such as JaM Cellars Butter Chardonnay, which is my current favorite wine!) Whether it is for a holiday, birthday, or just a "thinking of you" gesture in mind, a gift basket is an easy, affordable, and thoughtful gift you can present to someone in your life!

Today, I am sharing a tutorial showcasing just how easy it is to put together a gift basket for someone for Mother's Day! With a few must-haves in mind, this gift basket tutorial can inspire you to think of items that your friend or loved one will appreciate and help you put together a gift that shows someone you have been thinking of them and appreciate having them in your life.

Use this DIY Mother's Day gift basket tutorial to inspire you to put together a customized gift for the special mom in your life! Whether it be your mom, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, or even your best friend, celebrating women who have shown and supported you in a maternal way is best symbolized by thoughtful gestures and kind words!

DIY Mother's Day Gift Basket

Here are our Mother's Day gift basket essentials:

#1 Fresh Flowers

Brighten her day with a bunch of fresh flowers from your garden, or head down to the farmer's market to support your local florist and put together a centerpiece that will bring a spring element to your gift basket!

#2 Her Favorite Wine (such as Butter Chardonnay)

A bottle or two of her favorite wine is a great idea for a Mother's Day gift basket! Many women in my life enjoy having a glass of wine after work which is why this year I am including JaM Cellars Butter Chardonnay, in the Mother's Day gift baskets I am putting together! This white wine is smooth and luscious, and since it's creamy and buttery, it makes for a great after-work wine to enjoy during happy hour.

#3 Artisan Cheese and Crackers

Appreciated in most, or arguably, all situations, a selection of gourmet cheeses and crackers is a delightful addition to any gift basket! For Mother's Day, you can customize what you want to get her as a delicious snack element to incorporate into her gift that may pair nicely with a bottle of JaM Cellars Butter Chardonnay. If she doesn't eat crackers or she cannot have cheese, you can always switch it up and add another snack element for her to enjoy (or you could even leave a gift card to her favorite coffee shop or restaurant in place of actual food in the basket!)

#4 Wine Accessory

If you're gifting her with a bottle of JaM Cellars Butter Chardonnay or her favorite wine, it is customary to include another wine-inspired element into the gift basket. I prefer to give out plastic stemless wine glasses because who doesn't want one of those? I always find myself wanting to enjoy a glass of wine without worrying about breaking or damaging my expensive crystal stemware. You could also include other wine accessories such as a wine glass charm, a bottle opener, or a wine bottle stopper.

#5 A Wearable Accessory

Including a cute and fashionable accessory for her to use or wear is a great addition to her Mother's Day gift basket. Whether it's a bracelet or some other type of jewelry, a wristlet, a floppy hat, or even a scarf, you can include a small accessory for her in her gift that you think she will enjoy!

#6 A Spa Element

Having an element of spa or relaxation is a classic idea for a Mother's Day gift. Items like a robe, a candle, or even a gift certificate to have her nails done is a wonderful way to treat a special mom in your life to some pampering!

#7 A Decorative Basket (Reusable)

Whenever I am putting together a gift basket, I always try to match the style of the basket to the person I am giving it to. Many of the women in my life who are also moms have large families, so adorable and fashionable gift baskets are often reused around the home and also used when re-gifting. When you put together her gift basket, try to find one that is decorative that she can either use for storage or for decorating in her home, or she can reuse in another way after the holiday is over!

Suprise a special mother in your life with a thoughtful gift she can enjoy, no matter what kind of style she has. You can easily customize your gift basket to fit her personality and her preferences.

For the mommas out there who enjoy a glass of wine, be sure to look out for JaM Cellars Butter Chardonnay! I love how it has an effortless luxury taste, and how it's creamy and has a lasting hint of vanilla flavor--definitely a great choice for those who enjoy chardonnay! You can learn more about JaM Cellars Butter Chardonnay here, and they have an adorable Instagram page you can check out for all your wine and happy hour inspiration!
